On December 3 and 4, 2024, CNTY CEO Cao Debiao met with Thoriq Ibrahim, Maldivian Minister of Climate Change, Environment and Energy, and Moosa Zameer, Maldivian Minister of Finance, in Malé, the capital of the Maldives.
The two sides engaged in productive discussions on the proposed cooperation agreement between CNTY and the Maldivian Ministry of Environment, as a follow-up to the meeting with Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu. Specifically, the discussions centered on CNTY's proposed projects, including urban environmental services, the Thilafushi waste-to-energy power generation, the renovation of solid waste treatment facilities in Vaadhoo and Addu, and the waste collection and transportation from adjacent islands. An agreement was reached on the subsequent specific work plan.
During the working visit, CEO Cao Debiao and his delegation also had exchanges with the Maldives Solid Waste Management Company and project partners, and made site visits to the Thilafushi and Vaadhoo projects. Mr. Hua Haiyan, CNTY Vice President, Mr. Li Guoxin, Marketing Director, Mr. Manuel Andrés Martínez, International Marketing Director, and Mr. Liu Chunyang, Director of Foreign Affairs attended these activities.
